DENTAL PROSTHETICS

FIXED PROSTHETICS

When you decide to have your fixed prosthetic device created in Croatia, it will involve the best quality materials available on the market, as most Croatian clinics do not compromise on the materials used. Fixed prosthetics have many well known advantages: long lasting, natural teeth, ability to be attached to your own teeth, implants or upgrades.

The crowns are placed naturally on the rough tooth in cases of severe damage to the teeth or when the tooth is aesthetically unacceptable. We also do implants on them.

CROWNS

Croatian dental clinics will mostly offer metal-ceramic crowns with bases made of chromium, cobalt, white gold and nickel coated with ceramic in a manner that makes the metal completely invisible. They are easy to get used to, and are also least burdensome – in financial terms.

Additionally, some Croatian clinics will offer you the option of crowns with zirconium. Zirconium is a solid color and high strength material (1300Mpa). Zirconium was initially used in space technology, and after long-term testing it found its application in medicine in orthopedic surgery (with hip prosthesis). Numerous studies have found that it does not cause any harmful effects on the body and that there is no unwanted or allergic reaction in contact with soft tissues and bones. The zirconium crowns are extremely solid, do not cause allergic reactions and provide a completely natural tooth appearance.

DENTAL BRIDGES
Dental bridges are used when there are crowns on more than one tooth. A bridge is made up of two or more crowns on the teeth on either side of the gap — these two or more anchoring teeth are called abutment teeth — and a false tooth/teeth in between.

In the case of dental damage, there is a strong change in the tooth color or reduced spacing between them in which thin ceramic covers are used (veneers). They are placed after sanding the tooth gland from the front of the tooth in patients with healthy teeth.

POLYPHONIC TEETH PROSTHETICS
Semi-fixed dental prosthetics are used for those who do not have a single tooth in the jaw, and the therapy consists of a combination of mini implants and dental prostheses.

The most common system includes the installation of four mini implants which are a true mobile prosthetic restoration and are easier to support and wear.

In the group of combined fixed and mobile works we offer and create combinations of fixed parts of the patient’s teeth and the rest is offset by braces, or partial types. There are many different modern solutions which are extremely affordable and comfortable.

MOBILE DENTAL PROSTHETIC
Mobile dental prosthetics are divided into total and partial, depending on the number of teeth in the jaw. They are distinguished by their simplicity to make and low price, and the number of new and modern materials from which they are made, yet they are still not the perfect replacement for super comfortable implants.

What is the difference between Zirconium ceramic and metal ceramic crowns?

The difference is in making: zirconium ceramic crowns are entirely made of ceramic, while metal-ceramic has a base made of metal alloy (white gold, titanium, chrome, cobalt, nickel) that is coated with ceramics.

How long can I expect zirconium ceramic and metal ceramic crowns to last?

With high quality oral hygiene and regular exams, they can last up to ten years. The lifetime depends on the quality and the type of material as well as the patients’ habits.
